McLarens are unusual in that the spec sheet often matters more than the badge on the back. A 720S in Performance trim with the carbon exterior pack 2, the technology pack and the right wheels is a meaningfully better car to sell on than the same chassis in Luxury trim with the cloth lower interior. The 765LT is a different conversation again, where chassis number, build country and warranty status all carry weight.
Paint and service history matter on McLaren. The carbon tub is bulletproof; the bodywork sometimes is not.
